Total Radiological (x-ray) services available at Gratiot Medical Center across the street from the office. MRI, CT, PET scan, Ultrasound, Interventional radiology, etc.
Viscosupplementation for Knee Arthritis.
Orthopaedic Surgery.
Total hip, Total knee and Total shoulder replacement.
Upper extremity including shoulder, elbow and wrist surgery.
Spine surgery, laminectomy, decompression.
Major and minor fracture care.
Lower extremity including knee, ankle, foot.
Hand surgery including carpal tunnel.
Arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, wrist and ankle.

Dr. Haverbush - Bio

Dr. Haverbush was born in Toledo, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toledo. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After two years in the United States Public Health Service in Saipan, Mariana Islands Dr. Haverbush completed a five-year Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the World renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio.

After practicing Orthopaedic Surgery for two years in Cleveland he relocated his medical practice to Alma, Michigan joining the practice of John F. Williamson, M.D. Dr. Haverbush is in private practice and maintains a close relationship with Gratiot Medical Center as a member of the surgical staff.

The practice has grown and changed over the years. What has never changed is the dedication of the office to treat all patients with the respect and consideration we would give our own family. If it weren’t for our patient’s needs it wouldn’t be necessary for us to be here. The office will always keep this fact as our guiding principle.

On a more personal note, Dr. Haverbush and his wife, Alice have two abiding passions. In the Spring and Summer they spend as much time as possible at Cedar Point, the world’s greatest amusement park. In the Fall and Winter they go to Ann Arbor, Michigan frequently for any athletic or social event connected to the University of Michigan.

Satellite Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic - Lakeview, Michigan

Dr. Haverbush conducts a satellite Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic every other Friday afternoon at the Lakeview Community Wellness Center. The center is located at: 423 N. Lincoln Ave., Lakeview, Michigan.

Honoring Native America

If (when) you visit Dr. Haverbush’s office in Alma, Michigan you immediately realize this is not your average office from a size and decorating standpoint. The office that Dr. Haverbush designed is large and spacious with skylights in the common areas and windows in the exam rooms.

While Dr. Haverbush has no Native American ancestry, he decided to honor Native America by having the office decorated with native American art objects.

These objects are throughout the office from the entry to the common areas and even in the exam rooms. There are a wide variety of statues, wall hangings and metal objects, most of which have a card identifying the piece of art like one would find in a gallery.

Not a day goes by that a patient doesn’t comment “I have never been in an office like this before.”

We wanted to make the office experience as pleasantly memorable as possible. Everyone recognizes that this is not your generic medical office. Dr. Haverbush wanted the decor to be as unique as he feels the care is that the patient receives professionally.

The unique decor fits nicely with the courtesy and professionalism of the administrative and professional staff and the great care that Dr. Haverbush gives to patients.
